The Duke Energy voice assistant can help you save energy by sharing how much energy you use, what’s using the most energy in your home, and what kinds of actions you can take to save electricity.
To get personalized information about your home’s usage, you need to have a Duke Energy account and link your account to the voice assistant. To do this, enter your Last Name, your account number and zip code.
Your account number is at the top of your bill and your reference number is at the top of your home energy report. Please enter all digits and replace all spaces with dashes (for example 123 456 7890 would be entered as 123-456-7890). This is different than your Duke Energy Online Services account and must be set up separately.
Once you’ve linked your account, you can ask your voice assistant about your energy use anytime by saying, “Alexa, ask Duke Energy: How much energy am I using?”
You can also ask other questions like "How can I save energy?", "What am I using the most electricity on?", and more.
You can also use the voice assistant for general tips and information without linking your Duke Energy account. Just say, “Alexa, talk to Duke Energy,” and you can make requests like "what’s the latest news about Duke Energy?"
At any time while you’re using the voice assistant, just say “help” to hear more sample questions you can ask.
