Welcome to Dungeon Bird Adventure. In Little Flowerland, the king's favorite pet peacock has been stolen by the bad troll Eberhart. He escaped with it into the tunnel system known as the Ruins of Doom which lay beneath the old abandoned mountain fortress. The king has offered a reward for the return of his pet peacock. Some hardy souls have ventured forth but none have returned. If you are brave enough to try and rescue the peacock you will be given a torch, a dagger and you will be escorted to the tunnel entrance by the kings guards.
In the game your character will explore a map, encounter creatures, engage in combat, find gold and other items, all the while seeking to accomplish the given mission. Game play consists of movement, combat, searching an area and collecting items. Your character will start with a dagger and a backpack that can hold ten items. Your character will be able to acquire other weapons and carry a maximum of two along with a set of armor, a helm and a shield. You will be able to take inventory of what your character has, ask for help, and change your character's name. There are two game modes, easy and hard. In easy mode, your character will and keep all items and equipment if defeated. In hard mode, if your character is defeated, your character's items will be scattered and your character will be placed at the beginning of the adventure with a dagger and an empty backpack . In game commands are begin, north, south, east, west, attack, melee, search, examine item, take item, drop item, buy item, use item, inventory, help, change name, set game mode to easy or hard, where am I, and open, which is used for doors. For help with specific topics use the help command. Help topics are Movement, Combat, Search, Examine, Items, Inventory, Player Name, Game Mode, Instructions and Commands.
