Emotions are an important part of our lives. But sometimes we’re not in touch with our feelings or we feel overwhelmed by our feelings. Emotion Pal is here to help, based on the latest psychology research and clinical tools!
When you open Emotion Pal, you’ll be asked to pick a word to identify what you’re feeling in that moment. For example, you can say that you’re feeling “scared”, “angry”, “guilty, or “happy”. Emotion Pal understands over 200 emotion words!
Emotion Pal will ask you if you’d like to learn about the different parts of an emotion: - What typically triggers it - How it is felt in the body - How it is expressed - What you might be needing
You can say yes or no to these questions. This will help you understand what you’re feeling, so that you can decide how to move forward.
If you’re still feeling stuck, Emotion Pal offers an in-skill purchase called “emotion coping tools”. This one-time purchase will give you unlimited access to help from Emotion Pal. You’ll be guided through using two types of tools called “check the facts” and “opposite action”. - Emotion Pal will ask you questions to determine if your emotion fits the facts of the situation or if it’s based on how you’re interpreting the situation. If it fits the facts, then Emotion Pal will suggest how to productively act on your emotion. - If it doesn’t fit the facts, then Emotion Pal will suggest how to act opposite to what you’re feeling.
