Smart Home Skill for Garadget WiFi garage door controllers - control and monitor your existing garage door opener anytime from anywhere using your phone or with voice commands.
【FEATURES】 This skill links Garaget controllers with Alexa Home Automation. It enables the short and intuitive voice commands and allows inclusion of garage doors in Alexa's home automation routines.
【REQUIREMENTS】 To enjoy this skill you need one or more Garadget controller (order at www.garadget.com).
【ACCOUNT LINKING】 During the skill activation you will be asked to link your door controllers with Alexa by logging into your existing Garadget account. Following a successful authorization proceed to "Discover Devices". To revoke access, disable the skill via Alexa app.
【SECURITY】 For security reasons Alexa requires 4 digits PIN code when opening garage doors by voice. Once your account is linked, the PIN can be configured individually for each controller in "Devices" tab of Alexa app. This feature is a mandated platform requirement.
【USEAGE】 In voice commands use the name of the door as it appears in Devices tab of Alexa App (e.g."Home"). After connecting Alexa to your Garadget, you can say commands like:
- "Alexa, open Home" - "Alexa, close Home" - "Alexa, is Home open?"
Combine multiple controllers in a group using Devices Tab of Alexa app to issue group commands and query status of multiple doors by Group Name (e.g. "Garage"):
- "Alexa, open Garage" - "Alexa, close Garage" - "Alexa, is Garage open?"
Create routines to automate garage door related actions and enable things like:
- Ensure that all garage doors are closed at sunset - Control garage doors by pressing Echo button - Turn on and off smart lights when doors open or close - Open/close doors based on your location (accuracy is subject to your phone's location settings and may increase battery usage) - Create voice aliases for various garage door commands and grouped actions
To access routines go to Alexa mobile app main menu and click on "Routines".
