With the GateGoing skill and Alexa, you can now interact with your gates by voice. To get started, select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your GateGoing account and discover your gates. In order to link to your GateGoing account, simply open the GateGoing App and select Alexa on the main menu, you will then be shown detailed instructions, and given an Authorization Code which you will need during the linking process, this ensures that you and only you can access your devices using Alexa. When using the skill, you need established names for your gates. There are two ways to define these names:
Use the names you previously set up. They are shown in the GateGoing App and can be changed
or
You can change the name in the devices section of the Alexa App
You can also create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add the gate(s) to the group. More information is available at Create a Smart Home Device Group (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups)
Once you know the name or group name for your gates, you can say the following:
"Alexa, open my garage." "Alexa, close front gate." "Alexa, open the guest entrance."
