The Gospel of Thomas is an early Christian document containing sayings of Jesus. It is often speculated to be a Gnostic gospel, however, many scholars consider it to contain early and even authentic Jesus material. The Gospel of Thomas, long believed to be lost, was rediscovered in 1945 in Nag Hamadi, Egypt.
