This is a sample grocery list skill. You can ask Alexa to add items to grocery list, remove items from grocery list and speak out items in the list. You can also say 'help' to get a description of usage.
This skill uses 3 types of commands: 1. Commands to add an item to grocery list. 2. Command to remove an item from grocery list. 3. Command to list all the items present.
To start or launch this skill, use following command: Open grocery bag
Sample commands to add an item are : Add ginger to my list Add milk to my list Add bread and butter to my list Add chocolate to my grocery list Add yogurt to my grocery list
Sample commands to remove an item are: Remove ginger from my list Remove milk from my list Clear chocolate from my list Remove bread from my grocery list
Sample commands to list out items in the list are: Read it Speak it Tell me my grocery list Tell me my list
If the last item was added incorrectly and you want to remove it, use following command to remove last added item: Remove last item Remove previous item
To clear entire list, use following commands: Delete everything Clear entire list Remove all items
To text or message your grocery list, use following commands: Text me Message me
Alexa will ask for a 10 digit U.S. phone number that can receive text message. Once user provides the phone number, Alexa will confirm the phone number with the user before sending the grocery list in text message.
When you launch the skill the first time, it provides a brief description and says the help command. Subsequent launches repeats this description until the user has added or remove and item. Subsequent launches will not repeat the descriptive usage message. Users can always say help to get a summary of how to use.
