Home alone and curious if you remembered to lock the doors? Starting to feel a bit chilly in the middle of reading a book or working in the home office? Need to turn on a light without stumbling around in the dark? Just ask Alexa to do it for you! The Guardian Protection Services skill allows you to control and monitor many of your security and smart home features conveniently. Here are a few examples of other commands (start with “Alexa, ask Guardian…”):

Is the skill having trouble picking up some of your devices? Try changing the name of your equipment to something more common or check your equipment name for spelling errors. Before using this skill, you will need your Guardian Protection Services username and password to link your Guardian Protection Services with Alexa. Please note that the Guardian Protection Services skill only works for customers who have integrated systems powered by Alarm.com.
