With the Habitat skill and Alexa, you can now interact with your Habitat humidifier by voice. To get started, select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your Habitat account and discover your devices. Find more information about connecting smart home devices at Connect a Smart Home Device to Alexa (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home).
When using the skill, you need established names for your devices. There are two ways to define these names:
1) Use the names you previously set up. They are shown in the Habitat app and can be changed 2) Create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add the device to the group. More information is available at Create a Smart Home Device Group (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups)
Once you know the name or group name for your devices, you can say the following: "Alexa, turn on device." "Alexa, set Downstairs to easy mode 4." "Alexa, set humidity on Kitchen to 50."
To turn on/off your humidifier you can say: "Alexa, turn on Bedroom." "Alexa, turn off Kitchen."
To set target humidity for you device you can say: "Alexa, set humidity on device to 50." "Alexa, increase humidity on Bedroom." "Alexa, decrease humidity on Living Room."
To set easy mode for your device you can say: "Alexa, set device to easy mode 5." "Alexa, increase easy mode on Bedroom." "Alexa, decrease easy mode on Kitchen."
You can control fan speed of your smart and easy modes by saying: "Alexa, set the fan speed on Bedroom to Max." "Alexa, decrease the fan speed on Kitchen."
To get info about current water level, humidity, temperature or water freshness index you can ask: "Alexa, what is water level of Humidifier?" "Alexa, what is humidity of Kitchen?" "Alexa, what is temperature of Bedroom?" "Alexa, what is water freshness on Living Room?"
