Doc is a genius, you know that. It's just... his mental health is fine. He can be excitable; he's not detail-oriented. Little things slip through the cracks. So when he asked you to try out a revolutionary teleportation device, you were worried about fruit flies. Doc didn't mention that you might be entangled in a quantum loop for all eternity. You were only supposed to travel ten feet, but now you're popping in and out of existence all around the world! Your only hope is that Doc can establish a pattern to predict your next hop, triangulate your position, and "de-tangle" you. Use the clues around you at each hop to report your location to Doc as quickly as possible. Your life depends on it!
Here or There will take you all around the world. With engaging multimedia experiences, including audio field recordings, foreign languages, poetry, literature and photographs, you are transported to new and exciting locations around the world. You may be surprised by what you encounter!
Upon materializing at a new location, Doc will ask you about your surroundings. This is followed by a snip of dialogue, heard out of context, but suggestive of local custom and dialect. Beware, the dialogue is often in a foreign language! Not all speakers are native, but the language and patois are representative. You will hear a sample of field recordings on location, then a brief description. Next it is time to give your answer. For multiple-choice games, your choices will be read aloud, and your response is to name the letter that corresponds to your answer. For free-response games, your answer should be the name of the nearest major city. If you wish, you may request a hint, which Doc will provide in the form of a transponder. The transponder will expand upon clues you have been given, with new audio, descriptions or dialogue, in various combinations. Two of these are gratis, with more available on demand. Once you answer, Doc will let you know how you did.
