Home Net enables the power of HAL® from Home Automated Living through Alexa devices. Alexa now becomes another voice input into your HAL automation system to control lights, appliances, audio, video, security, thermostats and more...
With the Home Net skill, you can now issue commands in a casual conversation style. Unlike other voice interfaces for home automation that require a strict command structure, Home Net can handle mispronounced devices or even multiple instructions in one command. For example you can say “Will you please turn off the kitchen lights, turn on the living room lights and arm the security system in home mode for me.” The Home Net skill uses natural language processing which allows you issue the complex scheduling and commands.
To use this skill, you first need to have the HAL automation software from Home Automated Living and enable it for voice control. See www.automatedliving.com for details. After your HAL system is set up, you enable this skill (Home Net) and account link with your HAL credentials and you're ready to start controlling HAL with Alexa.
