By enabling the skill of HomeMate in your Alexa app, you will be able to add devices into Alexa, control switches, socket and scenes via voice command.
Before you enable the skill, you need have the HomeMate app already downloaded in your smart phone or tablet, and you should have added at least one device to the app.
Search HomeMate at the page of “Skills & Games”, tap on the skill and enable to use. Follow the page guide to log in your HomeMate app.
After enabling the skill, you can now add both devices and the scenes you created in your HomeMate app to your Alexa app. To connect devices to Alexa, you need go to the "Devices" tab, add device via the "+", follow the steps to fulfill the connection. The devices will be discovered automatically, and it will take no effort for you to complete the connection. To connect your scenes to Alexa, you need tap the icon of “Scenes” on the Alexa's device page, scroll down then touch the button "Discover Scenes". Once the devices and or the scenes are connected to your Alexa, you can then set up the automation and voice command.
Please be noted: the 'device name' is the name of the device in the device list of your HomeMate App. You need to add all the devices to your HomeMate app, and then each device has a separate name, each device name can have one to three English words, cannot contain numbers, do not contain special characters, do not use English numbers. For example, if your kitchen has a number of smart plug, you can name them as smoke machine plug, kitchen Liquidizer plug, Microwave Oven plug, etc.
