With the HOMESENSE skill and Alexa, you can now interact with your HOMESENSE devices via voice through the Alexa app or Alexa devices such as the Amazon Echo.
Follow the steps below to setup and control your HOMESENSE devices with Alexa:
HOMESENSE App 1. Download and install the HOMESENSE app. (https://www.myhomesense.com.au/app/) 2. Using the app create a HOMESENSE account and enrol your devices by following the instructions within the app. 3. Update the device names to your preference as they will be used when speaking with Alexa. - These can be updated within the Alexa app at a later time.
Alexa App 4. In the Alexa app, search for the “HOMESENSE" skill. 5. Select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your HOMESENSE account and discover your devices previously enrolled via the HOMESENSE app. 6. (Optional) Create an Alexa group, like "Bedroom" or "Downstairs", and add the device to the group. This will allow you to control devices by the assigned room name and multiple devices at once. Dimmer - "Alexa, set my bedroom brightness to 50%." "Alexa, turn my bedroom light down." "Alexa, turn on my bedroom light." "Alexa, turn off my bedroom light."
