With the iZone and Alexa, you can now interact with your iZone smart home devices by voice. To get started, select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your account and discover your devices.
When using the skill, you need established names for your devices. There are two ways to define these names: - Use the names you iZone set up. They are shown in your iZone Nexus/Nano screen and iZone App and can be changed. - Create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add the device to the group.
Once you know the name or group name for your devices, you can say the following: - For Aircon "Alexa, turn on my aircon." "Alexa, set my aircon to cool mode." (cool, heat, auto, fan, dry mode) "Alexa, set my aircon to 23 degrees." "Alexa, set my aircon fan speed to medium." (low, medium, high, auto) "Alexa, set my aircon sleep timer to one hour." (one hour, two hours, four hours, off)
- For Zone "Alexa, turn on dinner zone." "Alexa, set bedroom to 21 degrees for 3 hours." "Alexa, set office zone to auto mode." (off, fan, auto mode) "Alexa, set bathroom warmer."
- For Lighting "Alexa, turn off driveway light." "Alexa, dim living room light." "Alexa, set party room light to red." "Alexa, set kitchen light softer."
- For Smart Plug "Alexa, turn on pool pump."
- For Irrigation "Alexa, turn on front yard lawn sprinkler."
