The Kwanzaa Kwiz is a fun, family engaging skill that teaches players all about Kwanzaa. There are many misconceptions about Kwanzaa and this game helps to set the record straight. The easiest way to think about Kwanzaa is to compare it to Mother's Day, we love our Mothers throughout the year but we may not always show it, so just in case we have Mother's Day, a day where we take time out to acknowledge the roll and impact of Mothers. Kwanzaa is the same thing, we should probably think about Unity all year, cooperative economics is central to a community's success, yet sometimes life just gets too busy. With that in mind we've chosen the 7 days between December 26th and Jan 1st to focus and think about those things....That's it! It's not "Black Christmas", it's not a "Muslim Holiday" or anything like that. It's just 7 days to think about things we should probably think about year round. Some of the words used are Swahili words and may be a little tricky to pronounce the first time but overall aim of the holiday is unity, family and community togetherness.
