With LaView skill and Alexa, you’ll have the ability to in give voice commands to your LaView ONE cameras. The following models are supported by this skill*: - One Dot, ONE PT, ONE LINK, ONE HALO, ONE PEEK, ONE NOVA, ONE HUB *Note: Disable camera image encryption in the camera menu for functionality with Alexa.
Follow the steps below to set up your camera and link your LaView ONE account: 1. In the LaView ONE App, choose a fitting name for your camera (i.e., nursery, kitchen, etc.) 2. In the LaView ONE App, disable Image Encryption for the camera you are setting up. 3. In your Alexa App, search for LaView, activate the skill and link it to your LaView ONE account by signing in with your LaView ONE credentials. 4. Link your cameras by asking Alexa “discover devices” or by selecting the Discover Devices button in the Alexa app
After linking your account, you’ll be able to view your cameras with Amazon Echo Show, Echo Spot, Fire TV, 2nd Gen Fire Stick or Fire Tablets (7th gen and above). To view your camera, simply say “Alexa, show the [insert camera name]”
Take Note: ? Ahead of connecting to Amazon Echo Show, Echo Spot or Fire TV, log in to the LaView ONE App and navigate to the camera settings. Find “Image Encryption” and disable it. Choose “OK” when prompted. To finish applying the change, enter the Verification Code. ? Directions for changing the name of your LaView camera: After adding the camera to you LaView account, you can change its name in the LaView camera settings page. Choose a name that fits the area/room you will be using the camera such as “living room” or “master bedroom.” ? Easily view live footage on your Amazon Echo Show or Fire TV by saying “Alexa, show the (insert camera name).”
