About the Creator Leigh A. Hall, Ph.D. has been working in literacy education since 1996. She creates content intended to help educators address the needs of diverse readers and writers. A former middle school teacher turned literacy professor, Dr. Hall understands the challenges and difficulties teachers can experience in trying to help students improve their academic reading and writing abilities. However, throughout her career Dr. Hall has seen students make incredible gains in their literacy development and shift from being uninterested in reading and writing to having fully developed reading and writing habits.
