Meal Tracker will track your meals and calories for the day. You can record up to 6 meals for the day and calories for each meal. If you have an Echo show, it will show the card of your meal entry. Meal Tracker is easy to use and there are no external accounts to link to!
If there are any foods that can't be recorded correctly, please put them in the review and I will add them to the list of foods.
If the Alexa statement instructions are too long, you can shorten them by saying "turn instructions off". Say "turn instructions on" to go back to normal
The meals you can track are breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack #1, snack #2, and snack #3.
To use meal tracker, after launching Meal Tracker, first state your name by saying "My name is Derek". Sometimes Alexa will have trouble with one syllable names. In that case, try using a two syllable name. Meal Tracker supports multiple users. You can change the name of the user at any time by saying "My name is (user)"
Then you can start recording your meals or ask what you have eaten.
You can record your meals in 2 ways.
You can say something like "I had chicken for dinner today", or "I had tacos for snack #1 today". If you know the calories, you can add the calories at the end of your statement, ex. "I had chicken for dinner today, 800 calories". This will automatically record this entry. If you recorded this entry wrong, you can repeat what you had for that meal, and it will rewrite the entry. Make sure you have the food, meal, and date in your entry, or else the entry will not work. The calorie entry is optional.
You can also say "meal wizard" and it will track your meals step by step. It will ask you for "date", "meal", "food", then "calories". If you don't know the calories, enter 0 for calories.
You can also record meals for past days, ex. "I had chicken for dinner yesterday", or "I had chicken for dinner last Tuesday", or "I had chicken for dinner on February 20th, 2018, 1000 calories".
To ask what you ate for a past meal, ex. "What did I have for dinner yesterday", or "What did I have for dinner this Tuesday", or "What did I have for dinner on February 20th, 2018".
You can also ask what you ate for an entire day, ex. "What did I eat yesterday", or "What did Derek eat on February 20th, 2018".
You can also ask how many total calories you had for an entire day, ex "How many calories did I eat yesterday".
If the Alexa statement instructions are too long, you can shorten them by saying "turn instructions off". Say "shorten instructions on" to go back to normal.
