Morrisville Cricket Club (MOCC) was founded in 2008 with the goal of pooling cricket enthusiasts to compete in tournaments and promote cricket in the area. MOCC – Lions joined the Triangle Cricket League in 2010 and went on to become champions of the Premier League that year. Subsequently, popularity of the club grew, and an influx of several new players saw the formation of second team, Eagles Cricket Club (formerly, Cobras). Both clubs now contain a core group of committed players who run their respective rosters independently, welcoming new people into their fraternity each year. MOCC – Lions have been able to achieve outstanding success by winning the championship 5 more times in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017.
