NVIDIA SHIELD TV is a powerful 4K HDR streaming media player, GeForce® gaming machine, and smart home hub. With the Alexa skill, you can now use an Amazon Echo device to control your SHIELD TV using just your voice.
GETTING STARTED 1. Log in to your *NVIDIA account* on your SHIELD TV (Settings > Accounts > Add Account > NVIDIA). If you do not have an NVIDIA account, you will need to create one. Note: This account is different from the Google account used to log in to SHIELD. 2. Make sure SHIELD is updated with the latest software (Settings > About > Check for upgrades). 3. Select the “Enable” button to complete the setup and link your SHIELD TV. Note: You will be asked to log in with an NVIDIA account. Make sure to use the same NVIDIA account from Step 1.
When talking to Alexa, refer to your SHIELD TV by the device name. You can view or change the device name by going to Settings > About > Device name on your SHIELD TV. The default name is “SHIELD”. Note: If you are changing the name of a device that has already been paired, you may need to run device discovery on Alexa to update the name in your Alexa App.
