Did you know that many common baked goods and food items can be produced with ratios instead of recipes?
Knowing the proper ratio of basic ingredients can help provide a framework for any recipe you can imagine!
For example, a common ratio for bread is 5 parts flour to 3 parts water (by weight). To this base, you can add herbs, spices, and seasonings to your heart's content (don't forget the yeast!) and follow a standard baking process and you will end up with a loaf of bread!
This skill provides common ratios for creating pie, cookies, cakes, bread, biscuits, and pasta dough! More ratios coming soon!
