With the Sun Life Skill, you can search for certain health-care providers, quickly hear your coverage information for select Group Benefits products, check status of a recently submitted claim, and find out how your workplace investments have performed over time. Start with saying:
• “Alexa, open Sun Life”
To connect with the right health-care provider for your needs, you can ask for a nearby psychologist, physiotherapist, dentist and more (see full list below). To help you choose, you can sort by location, cost information and ratings, and even filter to find providers who offer appointments by phone or video. Once you have selected a provider, we’ll send you their contact details so you can call them or set up an appointment online. For some providers, we may be able to request an appointment for you. Try these phrases:
• “Find me a psychologist that I can meet with virtually” • “Book an appointment with a nearby chiropractor" • “Help me find a dentist” • “Find me the highest rated physiotherapist”
In order to access your personal account information, you will need to link your Sun Life account with Alexa. Enable the skill to start linking, and create a 4-digit voice security PIN for an added layer of security. This PIN is unique to you. It should be separate from your mysunlife.ca sign-in credentials and PIN codes used for other accounts and services.
For Sun Life Group Benefits plan members, you can check the remaining balance for your Health Spending Account (HSA), your Personal Spending Account (PSA) and your Vision Care (Lenses, Contacts, Frames) account. You may also check the coverage details of certain health-care providers and services covered under your plan, and get a status update of your recently submitted claim. Try saying:
• “Am I covered for massage therapy” • “Check my dental coverage” • “What is the remaining balance of my chiropractic coverage” • “What is the status of my recently submitted claim” • “How much do I have for glasses?” • “Is my son covered for contact lenses?" • “What is the balance of my health spending account”
For Sun Life Group Retirement Services plan members, depending on your plan set up, you can check the balance and personal rates of return of your workplace investments. Try these commands:
• “Check my workplace investments balance” • “Check my RRSP balance” • “What is the rate of return of my workplace investments?”
You may ask for help at any time during the conversation by simply saying, “help”.
Please note that your financial information will be read aloud and or displayed visually. It may take longer for us to update Alexa with your balance information so the information available to you on mysunlife.ca and on the my Sun Life mobile app may be more current.
