Infermedica's Symptom Checker is based on innovative Artificial Intelligence algorithms — the Infermedica diagnostic engine. It also relies on our in-house Natural Language Processing technology. Thanks to it, the skill is able to understand mentions of common symptoms and observations expressed in plain English. Embedding the service in an Alexa skill allows you to use it from your favorite Amazon device.
Currently the skill is able to understand simple descriptions of common symptoms and health problems. It may have trouble understanding complex sentences, complex stories and descriptions of injuries or accidents as well as descriptions of complications after diseases. Check it out for yourself!
