TCL Assistant Alternate

With the skill of TCL Assistant and Alexa, you can interact with your TCL Smart TV by voice. To get started, select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link "TCL Assistant" and discover your devices. 1. Check if your TV supports Alexa: go to TV Settings menu and select 'System'. If there is 'Work With Alexa', your TV supports Alexa.
2. To use the skill, you need to know your TV name first, you can go to TV Settings menu, select 'TV name' or 'Device name' menu to see the TV name.
3. If above steps are OK, click “Enable” button on the right top of this page.
4. To activate the TV with Alexa, please go to TV Settings menu to select 'System -> Amazon Alexa -> Sign in or Obtain code' to get the activation code.
5. Insert the activation code : "Amazon Alexa -> Menu -> Skills & Games -> TCL Assistant -> Enable to use -> Enter the activation code" in mobile APP(Amazon Alexa).


Once you know the name or group name for your TV, you can say the following:


POWER OFF TV
"Alexa, turn off television."


CONTROL VOLUME
"Alexa, turn up/turn down the volume <by a number> on television."
"Alexa, set volume to <num> on television."
"Alexa, mute/unmute television."
such as:
"Alexa, turn up the volume by 30 on television."
"Alexa, turn down the volume."
"Alexa, set volume to 20 on television."
"Alexa, mute/unmute television."


SET INPUT SOURCE
"Alexa, switch input to HDMI (1|2|3)."


CHANGE CHANNEL
"Alexa, change channel to <channel name or channel number> on television."
"Alexa, next/previous channel."
such as:
"Alexa, change channel to 5 on television."
"Alexa, change channel to BBC on television."
"Alexa, next/previous channel."


PLAYBACK CONTROL
"Alexa, play on television."
"Alexa, pause."
"Alexa, next/previous."
"Alexa, fast forward/rewind."
You can control the process by:
"Alexa, skip/go back <num> seconds on television."
"Alexa, skip 30 seconds on television."
"Alexa, go back 30 seconds on television."


LAUNCH APP
"Alexa, launch <APP name> on television."
such as:
"Alexa, launch Youtube on television."
"Alexa, go to settings on television."


RECORD
"Alexa, start recording on television."
"Alexa, stop recording on television."
Scheduled Recording (only available on 8 hours or earlier before the TV programme start):
"Alexa, record/cancel recording of <programme name> <time> on TV."
such as:
"Alexa, record <the new episode of the Grand Tour> next week on television."
"Alexa, cancel recording of <next week's episode of The Grand Tour> on television."


SEARCH VIDEO
"Alexa, play/show me the movie <video name> on television."
such as:
"Alexa, play Manchester by the Sea on television."
"Alexa, show me the movie Manchester by the Sea on television."


KEYPAD SHORTCUT
"Alexa, page down on television."
"Alexa, go right on television."
"Alexa, move down on television."
