Keep a running tab on how you're spending your time each day and for the year.
This skill is designed to be used as a quick time tracker for things you've completed each day, so you can look back on your year and see where you put your time and energy.
You can use it to track mundane daily activities such as doing dishes or for more specific tasks such as time spent writing your next book.
By default, this skill will use a generic user when tracking time. In households with only one user, you would not need to specify a user name. For example, you can say:
"Alexa, ask Time Investor to add five minutes to running."
However, you can use specific names if multiple people are tracking their time. For example, you can say:
"Alexa, ask Time Investor to add five minutes to running for Megan."
Each day is tracked as a running total, so you can specify if you want to know how much time you've spent on a certain activity that day. When retrieving your invested time you can either get the total for the day, or, the total so far this year. For example:
"Alexa, ask Time Investor how much time Megan spent writing today?"
Or, you can say:
"Alexa, ask Time Investor how much time Megan spent writing this year?"
Things to keep in mind when using this skill: #1. This is not designed to be used as a planner. It does not allow you to remove time; so use it only AFTER you have actually spent time on an activity. #2. Currently this does not account for complex activity phrases; for example, do not say "Add five minutes to playing guitar" but instead, simply say: "Add five minutes to guitar"
“Alexa tell Time Investor to add thirty minutes to cooking.”
