A skill to assist living healthy and safely in the familiar comfort of one's own community for as long as possible? Try Tina Cares, an independent living companion that complements carers and professional care services. Be reminded to take medication, record the daily exercise, answer a Frequently Asked Question, or be alerted of changes in usual behaviour.


In order to use Tina Cares, you will need to have an Orbita account for the first time you use this skill. To get started, select the "Enable Skill" button in the Alexa App to link your Orbita account and say, "Alexa, open Tina Cares.”

At anytime, you can stop the skill by saying "Alexa, stop" or “Alexa, cancel”.

CARE COORDINATION
To receive support from your carers or Home Care provider ask ”Alexa, open Tina Cares,:
-I need support”.
-I need a ride”.

ADVICE or REMINDERS:
To receive advice, simply ask Alexa for your care schedule:
-”Alexa, launch Tina Cares, what are my tasks”.
In combination with Essence Care@Home sensors, you can trigger the advice or reminder automatically. To emulate a Care@Home Door/Movement sensor try ”Alexa, open Tina Cares,:
-I am going out”.
-Sitting still”.

NOTIFICATIONS:
Care@Home Door and Movement sensors can also trigger Alexa to provide useful notifications, using the Echo light ring. To emulate a trigger try “Alexa, open Tina Cares,:
-Check the fridge / front door”.
-Check inside Temperature”.
-Check food / bathroom”.
-Check going out”.
To check the notification, say Alexa, what did I miss”.

SURVEYS
To collect subjective measurements Tina Cares can use Surveys. Try ”Alexa, ask Tina Care,:
-Customer Satisfaction survey”.
-Pain assessment”.

CARE PLAN
To assist healthy living Tina Cares can provide and receive data from the Orbita Health & Wellness application, try ”Alexa, ask Tina Cares,:
-Record a Measurement”.

-Check Stretching”.
-Get content”.
