With the Urant smart plug and Alexa, you can now interact with your devices which are plugged on Urant smart plugs by voice.
To get started: 1. Download and install BroadLink Intelligent Home Center (ihc) App (search “Intelligent Home Center” in App Store or Google Play) and sign up a BroadLink account. 2. Add smart plug in the App and make sure it can be controlled in the App. 3. In Alexa App, search and enable the skill “Urant Smart Plug”. 4. Discover devices in Alexa App or say “Alexa, discover devices” and make sure the smart plug is listed. NOTE: You need to discover devices again in Alexa App if one of the following changes were made: Changed device name, Added or deleted device, The device has been reset 5. Now you can say to Alexa for voice control. When using the skill, you will need to specify by name which device to use. For example, if you named one of your devices “Bedroom Lamp” (which is plugged on Urant smart plug), you can say: “Alexa, turn off my Bedroom Lamp.”
As your device name may be different, for example if it is named as fan or bedroom lamp or kettle, try saying like this: "Alexa, turn off fan." "Alexa, turn on bedroom lamp." "Alexa, turn on kettle."
Troubleshooting: If Alexa returns voice the device isn’t responding, there might be because the device is offline. Please try to access the device in BroadLink Intelligent Home Center (ihc) app. If the app shows “Device is offline”, please check your network connection until you can access the device in app.
