To hear past verses simply ask Alexa for the date desired. You can use phrases like 'yesterday's verse' or 'the verse from December, 29th 2016' (as long as the date is within the last 7 days).
Please note that verses for future dates are not available. You can ask for verses from today and up to 7 days prior.
