To use your Amazon Echo with your Vimtag socket, make sure you have the latest Alexa app on your device, and activate the vimtag.iot Skill. This will require your vimtag account and password to authorize Alexa to access your lights.
To get started, select the "Enable Skill" button in the Alexa App to link your vimtag account and discover your devices. When using the skill, you need to specify by name which device to use. You can set the devices' name in vimtag app which controls your devices. you can find the exact vimtag app name in your product user manuel.
Your vimtag socket now talk directly to the Amazon Echo through the Alexa Connected Home Integration. You can control your wifi socket with simple statements like:
Alexa, Turn on the socket
Alexa, Turn off the baby. (In order for users to be able to say “Alexa, turn on the baby” the device needs to be named “baby”.)
Alexa, Turn on the bedroom(In order for users to be able to say “Alexa, turn on the bedroom” the device needs to be named “bedroom”.)
