New! You can view your Vivint video cameras by asking Alexa.
Control your Vivint lights, locks, thermostats, and video cameras with easy-to-use voice commands (for Vivint Sky consumers only). After a few easy setup steps you can control your Vivint lights or thermostats with simple statements like:
For Lights: Alexa, turn on Bedroom lamp Alexa, turn off Kitchen lights Alexa, set Basement to 50% Alexa, dim Living Room Alexa, brighten Bedroom
For Locks: Alexa, lock my Front Door Alexa, is my Basement Door locked? Note: To keep your home secure, we do not allow anyone to unlock a door through Alexa. To unlock doors, please use the Vivint app.
For Thermostats: Alexa, set Upstairs to 70 degrees Alexa, increase Bedroom temperature
For Video Cameras: Alexa, show my doorbell camera Alexa, show my outdoor camera Alexa, show the baby's room
This skill allows you to control your smart devices without saying “Ask Vivint” or “tell Vivint”. For example, if you have named your smart light bulb “Kitchen Lights”, you can say “Alexa, turn on the kitchen lights”
