Voicebook is a skill that allows You to become part of the first true social media platform for Alexa.
With this skill you can setup your user handle for Voicebook and send private messages to other Voicebook users.
Here's how to get started:
To start Voicebook, you can say: "open voice book"
To create your Voicebook account, you can say: 'sign up'... then you just pick a user handle and select a voice and you're ready to go. If you want to get visual message notifications on your Alexa device, and enjoy the full Voicebook experience, go to the Alexa App and give us notification permissions.
During sign up, you can select the voice that will be used to read messages that you send. The voice options are: Female 1 - US Female Female 2 - US Female Female 3 - US Female Female 4 - US Female Female 5 - US Female Female 6 - Australian Female Female 7 - British Female Female 8 - British Female Female 9 - Indian Female Female 10 - Indian Female Male 1 - US Male Male 2 - US Male Male 3 - US Male Male 4 - Australian Male Male 5 - British Male None - use Alexa voice
To send a private message, you can say: 'ask voice book to send a message to <handle>, or you can say: 'ask voice book to send a message' and you will be prompted for the handle of the user you would like to send the message to.
To see if you have any messages, you can say: 'ask voice book if i have any messages'
To playback private messages, you can say: 'ask voice book to play messages', 'ask voice book to play new messages', 'ask voice book to play old messages'.
To continue listening to messages, you can say: 'next' or 'continue'
To repeat a message, you can say: 'replay' or 'repeat'
To reply to a message, you can say: 'reply' or 'respond'
To delete a message, you can say: 'delete' or 'remove'
Messages have a limited length. If you have trouble sending a message, try making it less than 10 seconds.
To find other users on Voicebook, you can say: 'who else is on'
To change you Voicebook handle, you can say: 'change handle'
To change the voice used to read messages that you send, you can say: 'change voice'
To change notifications when new messages arrive, you can say: 'change notifications' to: 'include message', 'not include message', 'off', or 'on'
To hear your Voicebook profile and status, you can say: 'profile' or 'account info'
To hear the latest release schedule, you can say: 'status'
To hear Voicebook news briefs, you can say: 'news'
To learn more about Voicebook, you can say: 'intro'
