VW Car-Net (Disclaimer 1) users can now link their VW Car-Net account to an Alexa (Disclaimer 2) built-in device to enable the Volkswagen Car-Net skill for Alexa. You can ask Alexa to start/stop the engine (Disclaimer 3) (if vehicle is equipped), lock/unlock doors (Disclaimer 4), or even honk and flash the lights (Disclaimer 4). You must pair your device (enable Alexa device to connect with your vehicle) for Remote Start/Stop commands. Multiple vehicles can be managed by using vehicle model name and model year.
To get started, enable the Volkswagen Car-Net skill for Alexa by clicking the “enable” link above and login with your VW Car-Net credentials.

Basic skills For best results, begin by saying “Alexa, launch my Car-Net”. Once you have done this, your commands can simply be: “Honk my horn” “Start my car” “Unlock my car” “Lock my car” Alexa will prompt you to say your Car-Net 4-digit security PIN (Disclaimer 5) for some of the secured commands such as “Lock my car” and “Start my car.” Please make sure children or others are not in listening distance to hear your PIN. If you have multiple vehicles enrolled in VW Car-Net, the model name and model year in the command like this “Unlock my 2020 Atlas”.
