Say goodbye to fumbling with the light switch or door lock when you walk into a dark house with your hands full. Alexa makes it easier than ever to control your Wink-compatible lights, outlets, switches, locks, and thermostats.
Using Wink with Alexa is a flexible, convenient way to control your smart products. Here are some examples to get started:
“Alexa, is the front door locked?” “Alexa, lock the front door.” “Alexa, turn on the downstairs lamp.” “Alexa, set living room light to 50%.” "Alexa, set bedroom to warm white"
You can also use Alexa to control Wink Shortcuts that include only Wink-compatible lighting products. For example, say “Alexa, turn on Good Morning” and Alexa will turn on all the lights in your bedroom while you’re still cozy in bed.
Note: In order to use Amazon Alexa with Wink-compatible products you'll need a Wink Subscription. Alexa will respond with an error for any user who has not subscribed. Some products require the Wink Hub or Wink Hub 2. From there, getting started is easy:
1. Connect compatible products in the Wink app and set individual names for each product (bedroom lamp, kitchen light, front door, etc.). 2. Then, link your Wink account to Alexa within the Alexa mobile app (Settings > Skills > Type in & search “Wink” > Select “Wink” > Select “Enable”.) 3. From there, say “Alexa, discover new devices.” This can take up to 20 seconds.
You can also unlock locks using Wink + Alexa by creating a voice PIN in the Alexa app. Once set up, unlocking your smart lock is as easy as saying a four-digit voice code.
