Bamboo Learning created Bamboo Music to help everyone learn and understand different elements of music theory, whether you are taking music lessons, or just want to learn more about music. Listen to music ranging from simple songs to classical pieces and complete exercises to learn about notes, instruments, scales, dynamics, chords, tempo, and intervals. Answer 8 to 12 questions to complete each session, depending on the level.
Beginning levels ask basic questions such as whether notes are going up or down. Advanced levels help you identify the differences between intervals such as Perfect Octave, Perfect Fifth, Perfect Fourth, Minor Third, and Major Third. Learn to distinguish between tempos – Allegro, Adagio, Moderato, and dynamics – Forte, Piano, Crescendo, and Diminuendo. Earn a Master Conductor Badge by learning to recognize the sounds of clarinet, harp, cymbals, organ, violin, and other instruments, and have fun competing with friends and family as you collect badges and move up to new levels. In order to move up a level, you must earn all 7 badges at the current level. (There are currently 3 levels, and 7 badges per level.)
