With this Alexa Skill, you can now take advantage of some features of your Bosch Smart Home System via Amazon Echo and Fire TV products.
These voice commands are at your disposal:
Change the temperature at your radiator thermostat: • "Alexa, increase the living room by 2 degrees." • "Alexa, decrease the hallway by 1 degree." • "Alexa, set the bedroom to 19 degrees." • "Alexa, increase the bedroom." • "Alexa, decrease the living room.” • "Alexa, what is the bathroom set to?”
Switch your smart plugs on or off: • "Alexa, turn on the TV." • "Alexa, turn off the TV."
Activate your alarm system: • "Alexa, turn on the alarm system." Note: Deactivating the alarm system is not permitted for security reasons.
Trigger a scene: • "Alexa, activate Good morning." • "Alexa, activate Good night."
Notes on activate/login:
To use this skill, enable remote access at "More" -> "System" -> "Remote access" -> "Controlling Smart Home on the move" in the Bosch Smart Home App, then create an account in your Bosch Smart Home App under "More" -> "Partners" -> "Amazon Alexa". Then activate the Bosch Smart Home skill within the Alexa App and log in with the access data previously created for your Bosch Smart Home App.
Important notes on how it works:
Please be aware that each scenario can only be triggered with the command "scene". Alexa does not recognize the word "scenario" as a command.
According to Amazon specifications, scenarios cannot be controlled via Alexa if they control the following devices or functions: • cooking appliances (cooker, oven, coffee machine, etc.) • safety relevant devices and functions (alarm systems, door locks, etc.) • cameras
If you rename scenarios or create new scenarios in the Bosch Smart Home App, you can no longer control the scenarios using Alexa. To be able to control the scenarios again with Alexa, you have to update Alexa via the following voice command: • "Alexa, search devices."
When naming devices in the app, please make sure that the names consist of only one word. This will help Alexa to understand your voice commands better.
Notes on Fire TV products: To use Alexa's voice control via a Fire TV product, you need a second-generation Amazon Fire TV product with a voice remote control.
