Learning Guide Stuff is a skill to help anyone who wants to learn the various Girl Guiding promises, laws and mottos.
All Guides, Brownies, Rainbows and Ranger Guides will learn promises, laws and motto at each stage and branch of the Girl Guiding organisation.
Parents, guardians, volunteer helpers, and leaders can all use this skill to refresh their own memory, to better assist the young people as they learn these essential Guiding concepts.
Use this skill's "learning" mode to help you with practice. Alexa will say the laws etc. aloud in short sentences, and wait just long enough for you to catch up before proceeding.
Alternatively, just have Alexa read out the laws and promises; repetition works well too.
Promises in the skill are the generally accepted core promises. Some local organisations may use alternative wording. See the Girl Guiding UK website for details.
The developer is not affiliated with Girl Guiding, but was himself a proud Cub Scout and Scout, and more recently a parent volunteer with his local Scout Group. He is also the parent of two former Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers who both went on to become Leaders.
