GET STARTED WITH SANTA: Santa Claus is here to add extra holiday cheer to your Alexa experience. Just ask and Santa can tell you a story, sing a song, crack a joke, set a timer, and so much more. For hours of cheer for the whole family, just say “Alexa, enable ‘Hey Santa’” to get started. If you have more than one Echo device, go to each device and say “Alexa, enable ‘Hey Santa’”. For US and UK customers, if you have an Echo device in Kids mode, go to the settings section of that device in the Alexa app, scroll down to “Wake Word”, and toggle on “Hey Santa”. You will still be able to use Alexa’s voice as you do now. HOLIDAY CHEER WITH SANTA: “Hey Santa, sing a song.”

Fire TV and Fire Tablets are not supported at this time. WE WANT YOU TO KNOW: If you have more than one Echo device, go to each device and say “Alexa, enable ‘Hey Santa’”. Alternatively, you can enable “Hey Santa” on the Alexa app: Go to Devices > Echo & Alexa > Select the device > Settings (Top Right corner) > Scroll down and click on Wake Word. Under Celebrity Wake Word section > Toggle on “Hey Santa”. Please note Santa is not able to help with shopping, lists, reminders, or skills.
To disable “Hey Santa”, go to each device and say “Alexa, turn off Hey Santa” OR open the Alexa app, go to Devices > Echo & Alexa > Select the device on which you want to disable the wake word > Tap on Settings (gear icon top right) > Click on Wake Word. Under Celebrity Wake Word section> Toggle off “Hey Santa” to disable. Blue indicates it is enabled.
