DESCRIPTION: Word Tennis is a categories game with a sprinkling of tennis. In single player mode you rally with Alexa and aim to get a high-score for the number of words you can think of in a given category. In two player mode you play a game against your friend with a tennis scoring system to work out who is the master of Word Tennis. In multiplayer mode (3 to 6 players) you will play an elimination game. The ball (turn) will go to a random player, if you make a mistake or say 'I don't know' you are eliminated. The last one standing will be crowned the ultimate word tennis champion.
TIPS: If you say an answer that is correct, but for some reason Alexa doesn't understand, you can shout "ALEXA, CHALLENGE THAT!" Then using some Eagle eye technology we can work out if what you said was correct. The game ends if you don't say anything after I prompt you for an answer. Your progress in the game will be lost. Just say "I don't know" if you can't think of anything to say.
CATEGORIES: Fruit and Vegetables Countries Capitals Olympic sport disciplines - This is disciplines, not events. That means 100 meter sprint and hurdles come under the same category of athletics. BORING BONUS: The game is surprisingly educational - If you're not learning the name of a chemical element or a capital, you are probably stimulating your grey matter trying to remember what pizza toppings or fruit and vegetables have already been said.
If you read this far then you deserve to know about the easter egg... When Alexa says "How many players do we have today?" You can say "enable laser swords". All tennis sounds will be replaced with laser sword sounds. To disable laser swords just say "Disable Laser swords" When Alexa says "How many players do we have today?"
