Lennox Smart Thermostats S40, S30, E30 and M30 now works with Amazon Alexa. With the S40, S30, E30 and M30 Smart Thermostats are all supporting Amazon Alexa, you can now control the temperature in your home by simply using voice commands. Getting started:
You will need to select ‘Enable skill’ in the Alexa app. This will allow you to link your Lennox Smart Thermostat account with Alexa, and then discover your S40, S30, E30 or M30 Smart Thermostat as well as any Lennox Smart Zoning (iHarmony) sensors paired with your system. You will need to tell Alexa which device you want to control. Please use the device name you see in your devices list on the Alexa app.
There are two ways to define this/these name(s):
- Use the name(s) you set up already – these are shown on your Lennox Smart Thermostat and can be changed, or
- Create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add the thermostat and/or one or more sensors to the group (find more information at: amzn.to/2965dCE). Example 1 If you have the Lennox Smart Thermostat with the default system name, you can say:
- “Alexa, set Thermostat to 72 degrees.”
- “Alexa, what is the Thermostat set to?”
- “Alexa, increase Thermostat temperature.” Example 2 If your Lennox Smart Thermostat is paired with Lennox Smart Zoning (iHarmony) sensors named “Bedroom”, “Upstairs” and “Living Room”, you can command Alexa to adjust your individual room temperatures by saying:
- “Alexa, set Bedroom to 72 degrees.”
- “Alexa, decrease Upstairs by 3 degrees.”
- “Alexa, what is the Living Room set to?”
-"Alexa, set Bedroom to ECO."
-"Alexa, set Upstairs to HEAT."
-“Alexa, set Living room to COOL."
-“Alexa, set Bedroom to AUTO."
-“Alexa, set Bedroom to OFF." Note: It is suggested to use easy to recognize room names (like “Bedroom”, “Upstairs”, “Living room”). Example 3:
Lennox Smart Thermostat "allows you to change the system mode" via Alexa voice command Supported System Modes: ‘HEAT’, ‘COOL’, ‘AUTO’, ‘ECO’, ‘OFF’
