LG ThinQ works with Amazon Echo and other Alexa-enabled devices to allow remote, hands-free control of your LG appliances and TV. There's no need to be in front of the appliance to check its status, simply ask Alexa to do it.
'LG ThinQ - Complete' supports Washer, Dryer, Refrigerator, Air Conditioner, Robot Vacuum, Air Purifier, Oven, Dishwasher, Styler, Dehumidifier and TV (2018/2019 LG ThinQ AI TVs only) in the United States.

[Getting Started]
(Note: The account created from the www.lg.com/us website does not link with LG ThinQ app nor Alexa Set Up app from the TV. Please create a LG Account from the LG ThinQ mobile app or the Account Management app in the LG TV.)
To set up your LG appliances for 'LG ThinQ - Complete' skill,
1. Make sure you have registered your appliances in LG ThinQ mobile app. (Note : You can download the app in Google Play or Apple App Store.)
2. Open Amazon Alexa app and enable 'LG ThinQ - Complete'' skill.
3. Sign in with LG account to complete setup.
To set up your LG TV for 'LG ThinQ - Complete' skill,
1. For webOS 4.0, launch the "Set Up TV for Amazon Alexa" app from the Home screen on your LG TV.
For webOS 4.5, launch the "Link to Devices for Voice Control" menu from Settings > Connection on your LG TV.
For webOS 5.0, launch the "Home Dashboard" from the Home screen and go to Settings > Link to Smart Speaker on your LG TV. Or you can search your webOS 5.0 TV through the LG ThinQ mobile app.
(To check operating system version, go to Settings > General > About This TV > TV Information)
2. Follow the directions to log in LG account and select the name of your TV.
3. Go to the Alexa App on your phone to enable 'LG ThinQ - Complete' skill and link accounts.
4. Return to your TV to complete setup.

Once you enable the skill, you can check the status or control the following appliances with your voice:
- Washer, Dryer: Check Remaining Cycle Time, Turn On/Off
- Refrigerator: Set Temperature, Ice Plus On/Off, Fresh Air Filter On, Check Temperature, Check Status (including Water Filter)
- Air Conditioner: Turn On/Off, Set Temperature, Set Mode, Set Fan Speed, Check Temperature
- Robot Vacuum: Check Status, Turn On/Off, Charge Battery
- Air Purifier: Check Air Quality, Turn On/Off, Set Fan Speed
- Oven(Only some models are available): Check Status, Stop Cooking, Set Preheat
- Dishwasher: Check Status
- Styler : Check Remaining Cycle Time, Turn On/Off
- Dehumidifier : Check humidity, Turn On/Off, Set Fan Speed
- TV: Turn Off, Control Volume, Change Channel, Switch Input, Control Video Player, Content Search & Recommendations, Launch Apps, Change Settings, 4-way Key Navigation
(Note: The temperature unit of appliances is set to Fahrenheit.)

(Note: In the example sentences, you may call your product with a device type or nickname that you set in LG ThinQ App. For the TV, you can give the nickname to your TV in the “Set Up TV for Amazon Alexa” app(webOS 4.0) or the “Link to Devices for Voice Control“ settings menu(webOS 4.5) or the “Home Dashboard” app > Settings > Link to Smart Speaker(webOS 5.0) on your TV.)
For example, try the following after you say "Alexa, ask LG":
“check the status of the washer” checks the remaining wash cycle time.
“set the air conditioner to 65 degrees” sets the A/C to a specific temperature.
“turn on the robot cleaner” starts the robot vacuum cleaning mode.
“preheat the oven to 350 degrees” sets the Oven to preheat.
"volume up/down on TV" adjusts the volume level.
"change channel to fifteen on TV" changes the channel to the number you requested.
