Can you estimate, guess or calculate the nearest number?
In this quiz game for either solo play, two players or teams, you'll only answer with numbers. You're unlikely to know the exact answer to the very challenging questions, but the closer you get, the more points you'll earn! After three questions, the highest score goes towards your total on the global leaderboard.
Nearest Number features:
- single and multiplayer options - special presentation for screen devices like the Echo Show, including the display of questions, category, correct answers and current scores - a varied soundtrack with plenty of sound effects, jingles and a new co-host! - hints, so if you don't get near the correct answer, you'll be given a choice between two possible answers - a global leaderboard for the Starter Pack, which contains over 50 questions - localisation to all English-speaking countries, so that numbers are formatted appropriately for your corner of the world
TIP: you only need to answer with whole numbers - no fractions, no percentages and no units. For example, you shouldn't say "one hundred miles", just "one hundred"; and you shouldn't say "half a million", but "five hundred thousand".
OTHER THINGS TO TRY: - "show the leaderboard" to see your current leaderboard position on screen-devices, or in a card in your Alexa app - "turn on fast mode" to switch off the 10 second "thinking time" jingle that plays between the question and the prompt for your answer - "stop" to pause a game in progress - you can return later by saying "open Nearest Number" again
