/* INSTRUCTIONS */
STEP 1 - Visit https://topvoiceapps.com/ssml
STEP 2 - Build your SSML using the WYSIWYG code editor and hit the 'Send To Alexa' button
STEP 3 - Pair your device to your browser by asking for your voice pin. Say "Alexa, ask Speech Editor to give me my pin"
STEP 4 - Say "Alexa, open Speech Editor and speak" to listen to the response on your Alexa enabled device
/* TIPS */
- After you've played back a response Alexa will ask if you want her to repeat it. You can say, wait 20 second, whilst you edit your code. You can then interrupt the delay and simply say "Alexa, speak" to play back the updated response. - If you fail to get a valid response from Alexa, check your SSML code carefully. - You can modify any of the SSML generated by the WYSIWYG editor buttons manually in the code editor. - Highlight some code in the editor and hit 'Send To Alexa' to only playback that highlighted code. - Stay tuned for pre-built SSML recipes coming soon
/* ABOUT SSML /*
SSML stands for Speech Synthesis Markup Language.
SSML Editor is a tool for Alexa Skill developers to manipulate their skill's speech response. It allows finer grain control over the way Alexa speaks. There are many different SSML tags that Alexa supports to allow finer grain control over Alexa's speech.
You can experiment and test various SSML tags using the WYSIWYG editor at https://topvoiceapps.com/ssml
