Bedtime Prayers is a skill to help children develop the habit of saying prayers at the end of their day.
When you launch the skill or ask it for a prayer, the skill selects one from a small library of prayers. Our prayers are all short and intended for children at bedtime. Alexa says the prayer slowly, so that children and their families can easily follow along and join in.
Be sure to tell any babysitters about the skill too. It might help them keep children in their nighttime routine.
After the first prayer, you can ask to repeat the same prayer, ask Alexa for another prayer, or just say goodnight.
Some things you can say:
To start the skill:
"Alexa, open Bedtime Prayers." "Alexa, launch Bedtime Prayers." "Alexa, ask Bedtime Prayers to say a prayer."
After hearing a prayer:
"Repeat the prayer." "Say another prayer." "Goodnight."
Parents can also say:
"Add my prayer", to learn how to suggest your own prayer to add to the skill. "I like this", to hear how to send the skill's creator feedback.
You can also say "Help" for examples of things you can say to this skill.
Some of our prayers are traditional, and some may be contributed by users of this skill.
If you have a favourite bedtime prayer that children in your family have enjoyed, why not send it to us and we may add it in a future update.
