With the "BroadLink BLE" skill for Amazon Alexa, you can now interact with your FastCon BLE devices by voice. SUPPORTED DEVICES AND VOICE COMMANDS This skill supports all FastCon BLE (Bluetooth) devices which can be operated in BroadLink BLE App. Please be noted this skill DOES NOT support BroadLink WiFi devices (use “BroadLink” skill instead). * A FastCon BLE gateway or hub is required for Alexa voice control Please visit https://www.ibroadlink.com/downloads to get a full list of supported device list and voice control commands for your reference. HOW TO USE 1. Download and install BroadLink BLE App and Alexa App
Search "BroadLink BLE" App from App Store or Google Play (NOT "BroadLink" App). After installation, you don't need to sign up an account for quick use. Alexa App is also required to be installed before linking. 2. Add and control devices
Follow device manuals to set up devices and gateway/hub in BroadLink BLE App and make sure you can remotely control them via external networks (temporarily disable Bluetooth and use 3G/4G) - because Alexa voice control requires Internet connection. 3. Link with Alexa
In BroadLink BLE App, click "Me" > "Link with voice services" and choose "Amazon Alexa". Just click "Link now" and you will be redirected to Alexa App and click again "Link" to complete.
Another way is to search "BroadLink BLE" skill in Alexa App and click "Enable", then click "Agree and Link" to complete.
No credentials are required during linking. 4. Discover devices
After linking with Alexa, click "DISCOVER DEVICES" on next page in Alexa App. Alexa will automatically discover devices you've added in BroadLink BLE and show them up.
Later if you have new devices added in BroadLink BLE App, they can be automatically show up in Alexa App and Echo will also announce the discovery.
The device name you set in BroadLink BLE App will be automatically synced to Alexa and you can edit either in BroadLink App or Alexa App. 4. Control device by voice
Now you can say to Alexa for voice control. For example, if you named a smart bulb as “Lamp”, you could say: “Alexa, turn off Lamp”, “Alexa, set Lamp to blue”, “Alexa, set Lamp to warm white” or “Alexa, dim Lamp to 50%”. TROUBLESHOOTING If Alexa returns voice “the device isn’t responding”, it may because the gateway/hub is offline. Please try to control them via external networks (disabled Bluetooth). If it fails, please check your network connection with the gateway/hub until you can remotely control the devices in app. You can also get our support by:
