CareRinger Companion is used with the CareRinger service for telephone reassurance. You can cancel your next check-in call from CareRinger by simply saying “Alexa, ask CareRinger to cancel.” When there is no pending check-in call, Alexa will respond “No pending check-in call found.” You can also use it to initiate a check-in call anytime when you need help from your designated-contact(s). Just say, “Alexa, ask CareRinger to check on me” or “Alexa, ask CareRinger to call me in 10 minutes.” Depending on the set up, CareRinger may call you more than once if the first call is not answered, just to be sure. Your designated-contact will be notified when none of the calls are answered. To begin, you need to register for the CareRinger service. To use the CareRinger Companion, you must enable the companion skill and link the skill to your CareRinger account to activate the companion app. When asked, you must provide the CareRinger participant phone number and one designated-contact phone number specified in the CareRinger sign-up form for the service.
