This skill -- motion to check my meds -- is a CareRinger Companion skill to remind you to take your medication when it’s time. If you have taken your meds, it allows you to check-in early. Otherwise you will receive a scheduled reminder call (one or more times depending on the CareRinger set-up) from the CareRinger system. If none of the calls is answered, CareRInger will notify your trusted contact(s) to follow-up. This skill is designed to work with the new Amazon Echo Flex and the ThirdReality motion sensor attachment. When enabled and configured using the Amazon routine, it allows motion to activate the skill. If there is a pending reminder call at the time, the skill will respond by saying “You have one reminder pending, to remove this reminder, say cancel or I got it. What can I do for you?” Otherwise, the skill will stay QUIET, so it will not be bothering you every time the motion sensor sees you around. The routine is set active 24x7 (i.e. use the default 12:00 am to 12:00 am) or for other reasons, it can be set to check for pending reminders only at the times chosen. This skill also allows you to schedule a new reminder call anytime, by saying “Alexa, ask check my meds to set/add a reminder for 2 hours” or “remind me again in 30 minutes. To remove the reminder, just say … “cancel” or “I got it”. To begin, you need to register for the CareRinger service. For information about CareRinger and details to complete the sign-up forms, please visit www.careringer.com, or you can also contact support@careringer.com for assistance. To enable the “check my meds” skill, you must link the skill to your CareRinger account. When asked, you must provide the CareRinger participant phone number and one designated-contact phone number specified in the CareRinger sign-up form for the service. To use the Echo Flex/motion sensor with the skill, you must set up the device first, add a routine, select the Echo Flex and add the “check my meds” skill as the action for the routine. To test, say: “Alexa, ask check my meds to remind me in 30 minutes” to initiate the next reminder call in 30 minutes “Alexa, ask check my meds” to simulate the motion trigger (Echo Flex disabled) or move around the Echo Flex/Reality motion sensor (enabled) to trigger the skill “Alexa, ask check my meds to cancel” to cancel any pending reminder
