This Skill is the result of a need identified by its developer while attending a conference on the expanding usage of voice in our society. He couldn’t find an Alexa Skill to help manage the new contacts he made at the conference and any associated to-do list items.
Conference Contact Helper is a powerful Skill designed to enable you, as a conference attendee, to more easily manage the myriad contacts you make during the event along with the numerous related to-do list items you may create. Many of these contacts may not lead anywhere and may not merit entry into your contact list. Conference Contact Helper enables you to more easily screen them by determining if there is mutual interest beyond the usual pleasantries exchanged at the conference or meeting.
Using Conference Contact Helper is simple. You first add a Contact’s first name, last name, company, email, phone number & quick note about what you discussed to the Conference Contact Helper database. Because you can use access it with the Alexa App on your smartphone, you can do this while at the conference or anywhere else that’s convenient. Then, for each Contact, you can add one or more To-Do List Items to include the item, target date, means to achieve the item (phone, e-mail, either or neither), and status (not started, in progress or completed). In addition, when you add the item, you can also schedule a reminder according to your desired number of days before the target date and your desired time of day for the reminder.
Of course, you can get a list of your Contacts, or To-Do List Items by status. It will give you a list of overdue To-Do List Items as well as those due within the number of days you specify. You can edit Contacts or To-Do List Items, including updating the status of an item. Finally, you can delete a Contact and all their associated To-Do List Items or just a To-Do List Item.
Here is a list to help you easily use all the functions Conference Contact Helper provides: 1. Add a Contact – Say, “Add a Contact” to start the process. 2. Add a To-Do List Item – Say, “Add an item to my To-Do List” and Alexa will begin the dialog to add the item. You will also be given the option to add a reminder for the item. 3.
