This Skill was written to provide another means for the residents of Sun City Carolina Lakes to retrieve notifications about their community in an easily accessible manner. The user will hear current headlines of messages from the management, board of directors, and other sources of Sun City Carolina Lakes located in Fort Mill, South Carolina. To open the Skill say, “Alexa, open Sun City Carolina Lakes,” and you will hear a numbered list of the current headlines for the Sun City Carolina Lakes community. These are the voice notifications for the emails they had been sent. To hear details about a specific headline, just refer to it by name and say, “Tell me more about headline number one.” When you hear the detailed information, you can choose to permanently remove that specific notification from the list you’ll hear going forward by saying, “Stop this notice.” You can also say, “Repeat” to hear the headlines or notifications again or “Help” to hear what you can do with this Skill. Since some of the emails that are sent contain graphics and links to pages on the community website, the voice notification cannot contain those links. Therefore references to them will be made along with the date the email was sent so that the user of the Skill can find that email in their inbox and access those links.
